The KONG Zoomgroom is a brush for grooming and shampooing, it encourages natural oil production in your dogs coat and is supposed to attract the loose dog hair.

The feedback I have read for the KONG Zoomgroom is about as varied as it gets, I have seen reviews giving the brush 5 out of 5 and saying “the best brush I’ve ever owned it’s amazing it gets every fiber and hair from the dogs coat” but I have also seen reviews giving it just 1 out of 5 saying “I’d rather use another brush and have the hair on the brush then have to spend forever vacuuming & cleaning up the horrible mess of hair the zoom groom causes”

When your dog first meets new people or other dogs the way he acts reflects on you as an owner.
With just a little training and positive reinforcement your dog can learn not to jump up on people it meets and instead to remain calm.

So we all love our dogs, I know I do, but do you know how much is spent on keeping them happy each year? A new study has been conducted and I have got the facts for you here.
Australia’s BankWest has conducted the study called the Family Pooch Index and it shows that the typical spend over a 10 year period is around £15,000 or approximately $22,500 that’s a whopping $2,250 a year.
Now this does include food and anyone who has a Labrador might be surprised the figure is so low but it does show that we treat our dogs as members of the family rather than just pets.

By spending quality time with your dog you can learn to spot problems with your dogs health, the appearance of your dog can give you clues as to how the health of your your dog is.
Some of the questions to ask yourself are :
Is the coast soft and shiny, is there loose skin or a lot of fur coming off?
Are there fleas or ticks in your pets fur?
Are you able to see cuts or breaks in the skin?
If you do notice anything like this wrong with your dog you should consider taking him to a vet to get him checked out, if you notice a problem with your dogs appearance this can be an early indicator of a broader health problem so getting the dog checked out quickly can often stop a problem escalating.

I am sure you feel good when you are interacting with your dog, playing or walking with your dog or just sitting and stroking him makes me feel calm and happy with life that is why medical professionals are using dogs to treat patients.
“Dogs like Labradors and Golden Retrievers make good therapy dogs because they are traditionally working dogs with high energy and they need to feel useful,” says Dr. Foerderer.

 A number of dog training problems can be explained by your dog having an excess of energy, think about it yourself, if you have been sitting down all day what you really want to do is stretch and burn off some of the excess energy.

 It is the same for your dog if it is left alone or not exercised before you go out it may burn off the excess energy by running around your home, this and other interesting points are discussed in an interesting post over here
